【"SCI期刊投稿 | 专刊 "Nutrition and Health Equity"】Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Consuming adequate amounts of fruits and vegetables (FVs) is essential for health promotion and disease prevention. In recent decades, we have seen novel field initiatives to increase FV intake, underscoring the value of improving FV access as a strategy to improve public health. Unfortunately, disparities in FV intake and health persist. Strategies to improve the availability, purchasing, and consumption of FVs are needed in communities with high proportions of underserved residents to achieve health equity.
We seek your novel contributions to a Special Issue focused on the link between FV access, intake, and community health among underserved populations, such as low-income individuals, people of color, rural residents, and sexual/gender minorities. Fresh insights that build on a large body of evidence demonstrating the importance of FV intake to community health are needed to provide research, advocacy, stakeholder, and policy groups with equity-driven strategies aimed at improving FV availability, purchasing, and consumption among diverse, underserved communities.
Epidemiological, observational, intervention, and/or qualitative research approaches are of interest. We are particularly interested in original studies on cross-sector collaborations, technological advancements, innovative marketing strategies, and community-led campaigns to improve FV availability, purchasing, and consumption for health equity.
